Message	replace them with aftermarket. Perhaps for the rear speakers the other owner ran a new set of lines to those boxes. You may be able to re-use those lines for the new speakers just installed? For the fronts - pull one of the door panels and do an little inspection -- should be pretty easy to figure that out or post some pixs for advice... Isn't a big deal swapping out for a better head unit either...there are adapter harnesses that allow a specific HU to plug into the factory harness plugs (ie., plug and play). Only issue is how much the previous owner hacked into the car's wiring?
